Anantang, Nov 19 (KNO): Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday said to have recovered substantial quantity of contraband substance from a residential house in Bonagund Verinag besides, arrested the accused person involved in the commission of crime.
“Police Post Verinag received credible information that one individual, Mukhtar Ahmad Haji son of Gh. Rasool Haji, resident of Bonagund Verinag, had concealed a cannabis-like substance in a tin shed near his residence. Accordingly, a case FIR No. 110/2025 under Sections 8/20 of the NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Dooru, and investigation was taken up,” a police spokesman said in a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO).
During the course of investigation, a police team accompanied by the Executive Magistrate Dooru, Lambardar, and the concerned Chowkidar conducted a thorough search of the suspected tin shed.
